Emotional Farewell Speech by Retiring Pilot Moves Everyone to Tears

On social media, people are grieving after a TikToker filmed a pilot’s final flying remark.

Jeff Fell, an American Airlines pilot for 32 years, flew his final flight last week and expressed gratitude to some specific customers. Tears are to be expected.

The pilot greets passengers and checks their hearing in the TikTok video posted by @realjharrison.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen; welcome aboard. I’m Jeff Fell, the aircraft captain for Chicago tonight.

I rarely stand in front of people like this; I usually talk on the radio from the cockpit.

“If I get a little emotional, please forgive me for that.”

Onboard the plane, the captain “acknowledges a group of highly significant persons.”

“They’re the majority of my family who’ve come along with me on my retirement flight,” he adds, his words cut short by thunderous applause.

“They’re on my retirement flight after 32 years with American.” Tonight, as I celebrate this wonderful time in my life, I appreciate your company. “I adore each and every one of you.”

More raucous applause.

Fell went on to commemorate one more key person, adding he ‘didn’t want to get emotional.’

“Finally, to my wonderful wife Julie, who has supported me for the majority of my 32 years at American,” he continues.

“She’s been a life and marriage rock for us.” Her wisdom, courage, love, and trust in God have guided our marriage and family.

“I adore you and am excited about our future.” Everyone is welcome onboard.”

Similar comments to the pilot’s final flight have been shared online.

The individual who shared the video said, “Privileged to have been there for this.”

Others quickly flocked to the message to wish her well.

“Little script,” says TikToker 2. Imagine him sitting there the night before, writing it.”

“THE WAY HE TALKS ABOUT HIS WIFE IS SOBBING,” stated a third.

“32 years of safe landings,” stated a fourth. “May God bless him and all pilots.”
